Here's a video of one of the most glorious highways I've ever driven on. California Highway 1. It's hours and hours of tight, twisty roads. So fun! Here's a little sample of the fun I had...

Nice. We have a lot of roads around here like that, but our roads include going up the hill and down within a half a mile. They really are fun, and I usually do backroads opposed to highways, unless it's night time. There are too many deer here to risk that.

Are you switching from 2nd to 3rd in the uphill part of the vid? If so, it sounds like your 3rd gear is really low, if you know what I mean.

No, that's going from 3rd to 4th. You're right though, it seems pretty tall. 4th just needs to be a bit shorter. My next transmission is definitely going to have the Integra gearset. Though, it may not have been a problem if I had a bit more power. The Prelude transmission seems more geared for twisties like this, though it's still far superior, IMO to the Accord tranny.

The speed limit through most of that area isn't really defined. I think the corners are so twisty, they don't expect anybody to go very fast. The last speed limit sign I saw, I believe was 50 and that was usually out in the open straights.

Thanks guys, unfortunately pico, I think you heard how my car sounds from outside the car. :) A touch bit ricey from the observer's viewpoint. :kekeke:

Hairpins like these? Rain is no fun, you can't go as fast.
