board srangeness!

anyone have problems with the board yesterday?

I posted early in the day and later in the day I was redirected to some other page saying this account wqas temporarily suspended or the like.

Then all of a sudden I got like 10 subscribed thread emails for the same thread.

after that i could gt on 3geez again

anyone else?

i'm guessing the host had a temporary problem and had to reset the database.. i noticed a post I made disappeared too

yep i had a couple disappearing posts too. :) also had a hard time accessing pages sometimes, and had to refresh a few times before the page would show up.

It appears that the software the servers are running was upgraded recently, which may have caused the hiccups. Or it could have been a brief billing snafu, causing the suspended message.

Same wierdness happend to me, in fact I was replying to ghettogheddy in the cam gear thread, a nice long one, and it disappeared. so dd GG's post, then his reappeared twenty minutes later buy mine didnt.

i remember a long time ago being on a couple of temp boards cause there wasn't enough money to keep the site up so we alomost lost it. tons of people chipped in and now years later we're still here...i just hope it isn't happening again...

i just redid my foundation fee since i only pay every year. hope it was just a server error. and yeah it would be alot of information lost. i had to go over to preludepower to get my Forum needs..haha

We have a very good host with no complaints on the price. The issue was that no invoice was created for this billing period. I get an email when the invoice is due but one didn't generate so I didn't pay it. I don't pay on a monthly basis so it's not something I always think about. We got it resolved early this morning and everything is fine now.

Since we're talking about strangeness, an FYI that starting tomorrow through Tuesday there may be periodic downtimes. I'm on vacation and board and upgrades is on my list of things to do.
