it won't fit anyway i guess >_>

on the other hand, are there any engine swaps from a turbo b18 (or b16 or other engine) that wouldn't be impossible to find e.g. the jdm or type-r ones?

the b18c is circa 2500-3000 dollars imported, with 45,000 or so miles

Just turbo your a20.

a turbo would still be just as expensive as a swap no?

no. manifold 300 or learn to weld. the rest of the parts can be had for roughly 1000 dollars.

a swap is near impossible. weld your own mounts or somehow find some placeracing ones. solve all the axle issues etc etc. well worth it if you love the car enough to spend a bunch of money.

turbo is way easier... half sized dual core rad, mani, turbo, downpipe, exhaust, intercooler and piping, bov, wastegate (if you get an internally gated you won't have to worry about it.), fuel management, boost guage, that's about it. that's a pretty easy list to come by used, hard part is the mani and downpipe and exhaust, everything else is pretty simple. i mean getting a different engine is super appealing just because you can have everything else be super simple but it's the stuff of dreams (aka money). just ask antares he spent a lot of time and money but dude is super dedicated.

i still want to see the ultimate rare car... the turbo d-series accord lol. if someone would spend all the time and money to make a d series accord i would cry tears of joy. so maybe you should go that route as d-series motors are hella fuckin cheap --- but no torque i know :-\ that's why turbo d :D

well, i always see d16s on craigslists, but i just thought they were crappy and low hp. and non-dohc no?

i would rather turbo a rebuilt a20.

another note, am i just going to have to dump the A/C if i want to build a turbo set-up?

i said it before and i say it again, I see these prelude engines all the time with hole in the side of the block, bottom ends dont hold up IMO. If I were going to swap in a B series condsering all the work , it would be a B16 or B18.
Realistic thinking..... if you want to plan on over 2000 invested in a powerplant why not apply that $$ an A20.
If I were buying a B series engine I would want to hear it running, and I would buy the whole donar car (most likely a wreck, stolen recovery, or abandoned car in a tow yard with over balance of storage charges, or surplus auction)

no, check with guaynabo89, he's doing a turbo setup and using a manifold that mounts the turbo where the battery is so it keeps all the accessories. but he also did a battery relocation. but ask him about it, see if he could get the guy to make one for you too if you're interested.

yeah, i would think that the tubular manifold would allow room for A/C and P/S
