I had mine put in by the Honda dealer after two stereo guys refused the job. They said it was a bear to put another one in. You need to take out stuff or have tiny little hands I guess.

I never like shark fins....like the soup but not on a car I prefer the concealed ones, much easier to install than the stock one or a fin. With the one that sticks to the rear windshield thats all you would do is just stick it there and run the line to the antenna and same for the in-car antenna, just mount it to the back and run the line and you're good, no mod required.

yea that sounds good, but the thing im worried about is the marks and holes the old antenna assembly would leave. what would yall do to take care of that?

Bodyfiller, some sand paper, paint, primer and some paint....or you can put a flag and a pole there.

i would weld the hole shut...you dont want water to start leaking in if you cheap out and just use bodyfiller.

Or at least fiberglass the hole shut. Never ever use body filler on hole that big.

if you dont have a welder, do this. it works just fine.

i took some tin snips and cut a piece to fit the hole. if you dont have a welder, JB weld will work just fine, but you will need a magnet to hold the patch plate in place while the JB weld hardens. once its hard, sand that puppy down, and use a glazing putty to get the surface imperfections perfect, wait to dry, sand and paint. its pretty simple, just dont weld your magnet to the car!
