View Full Version : made a CAI last night for the accord tell me what ya think

I used intercooler piping and a few pieces from the stock set up just cut em and madem fit sry i dont got pics of the filter set up but it is placed in the right side of the bumper and i have it set up so it will not get wet or suck up water if it rains but heres the pics tell me what ya think

time to get a tripod. thoes pics are blurry as hell. or try adjusting the setting on it....other wise the CAI does not look too bad.

Well the pics are a bit blurry, but it does look pretty good. What vehicle was this intake meant for? The bents seem to match up to what we need.

it was just old intercooler piping and i mad the bends myself and yea sry bout the pics ill try to get better pics of the whole set up 2night my lil bro took those pics

good job man, does the car run any better with it or does it slow it down? i know with my car cold air = use lots of petrol

do you have a 3" opening? i noticed when i had a 3" short ram i used lots of gas but when i switched to 2.5" i got better milage and more low end torque too w00t

it seemd to be getn better gas millage not as much of a grunt sound with the cai as the short ram had but i like this set up alot better

the piping im using is like 2.1/4" piping and its has a cheap ass filter mounted in the bumpser so im gonna put a k&n filter and see what that does

get a pic of the filter .......where i put mine well when i wash the car the other day it gets wet wet wet,,,, lol but its ok i guess cause the car is not on and its not sucking up the water but anywyas looks prettt good..

It's a nice-looking setup. As soon as I saw it, I thought it might not be wide enough, but apparently it works great, so that shows what I know.

wow i did'nt know that the size of tubing played a hand as to how much gas you use. I figured that if you had more air you would use less throttle. then again i did'nt have an fi accord.

The Air-Fuel ratio needs to stay the same, so if you bring more air in, you need to add more fuel, too.
