theres 2 ways, you can unnut in the door holding it in, pull the moulding out a bit & hit it towards the front of the car, and it should slide off the clips. but since 18 years ago when these cars where new, dirt & dust probably got stuck in them stopping them from sliding, so the other way is remove the door panel & unclip the clips from inside

I use a crowbar.

lol I don't want to dent the door, break the snaps or break the molding though lol

chances are you probably will break the clips, but if you do manage to slide the molding off, you will have to rotate the clips 90 degrees to get them out of the holes in the door. otherwise you will break them trying to get them out.

I would do it the hard way, take the inner door off and push the clips of from the inside, these clips are old and can break easy if you try sliding the molding off from the outside, and they are VERRY hard to find(intact)

i can almost guarrantee you will break those clips. i tried hard not to break them when sliding the trim off the driver side door but no luck. had to get good ones from the junk yard.
