What does your valve cover look like?

I am trying to figure out what color to do my valve cover in or if I should polish it. I am stuck between doing it gold ,red wrinkle or polished.

i think refinishing the valve cover with factory black wrinkle finish looks the cleanest but thats just me.

Thats just the stock manifold painted with exhaust paint, I couldnt find a picture with the pacesetter on,

thats why I said manifold not header... :) one of my old pics I just posted has my painted manifold as well, before I got a header.

well my vote is go for a polished cover , but do it right

Im in the production of getting another valve cover to shave and then polish
The shaving is a big thing on Honda-tech, but i have only seen 1 that was shaved and polished , if your up for the challenge go for it.

I guess shaved is removing all raised lettering and whatever, then taking it down by sanding off all texture to a smooth finish then polishing it to look chrome???? gives 3.3 more horsepower:rice:

take some steel wool to that legend master it well shine it up good i did that to my intake manifold

Nope it used to be factory wrinkle black, but I plan on making it wrinkle body color.

You guys can use a fine grade disc on the surface prep tool to get it shinier but then you will need to go to a finer grade emery cloth by hand, then metal polish with a wad disc to get it super slick.

Catapilar diesel yellow, polished fins (need a little touch up and more polish) This was an easy project thanks to the parts washer at work, it removed every bit of paint.. works like a dishwasher.
