What is your definition of "a good car?" personally, a salvage title doesn't really mean anything to me if I plan on keeping the car. If I plan on selling the car at a later time, then it's somewhat of a big deal. If you're looking to buy a salvage-titled car, then run a CarFax on the title to see why it's been titled as a salvage. Here in Florida, I believe a car is branded as a salvage if you replace the odometer, so check out why it's branded.

Run a Car-fax report on the car to see why it's been labeled "salvage". Most of the time, the car is damaged past the 75% mark to be fixed & is written off by the insurance company.
