My fuel pump is starting to take a shit. I have a 225 or 255 lpm Walbro that I bought for my turbo setup I was wondering if I could throw this in now with out damaging my FPR or injectors? I plan on getting an adjustable FPR and larger injectors later on but for now I need to replace the pump, and I don't want to dish the cash for a stock new one when I have this sitting here. Thanks!

i'm running my 255lph with stock injectors/FPR. i've got a bunch of miles on it i would say it's perfectly safe. my stock one crapped out so i just threw in my walbro and i've had no problems. change your fuel filter when you put it in though...TRUST ME.

good luck

yeah it's fine to put it on there now. :) mine is installed with stock injectors, and it works as advertised I suppose.

Thanks alot thats what I was wondering, yeah I have new filters too, I'll probally just go ahead and do all that this weekend. curious did you notice any power increase or throttle response? I wouldn't really expect so but you never know.

I put one in my 240 before turboing, and I know the fuel pressure increased at least a tiny bit as the car ran a bit richer. Maybe the 3g fpr is more adept at handling the extra fuel, though.

yeah an adjustable fuel pressure regulator couldn't hurt. you will probably need one eventually if you plan on changing out much or your fuel system, or doing radical tuning.

Yeah I planned on a FPR, and lager injectors, witha b series mani but my accord has been on the back burner for a bit trying to get other things tied up and out of my hair.

Do any of you run a clear low pressure fuel filter for carbs as a pre-filter before the pump?

It should help you see how dirty things are and save your pump. It doesn't need to hold pressure because it's before the pump, although you should consider the flow rating of the filter though.

I usually buy the big clear plastic filters by FRAM, that are ment for big block carbed motors.

Don't get anything cheap with a replaceable filter element, since those can unscrew and you'll end up with a fuel leak.

when i installed the walbro the idle was noticeably richer than stock but other than that there was no other difference

Whats your deal dude?

I was just wondering what was going on with you actually. Seeing you had a bad transaction on this forum, it bothered me to see that it wasn't taken care of. So I decided to bring it to your attention. I'm glad you addressed the issue at hand , cause I hate to see people done wrong.

No hard feelings. I know what it's like to be ripped off & was making sure that wasn't the case. I see you handled matters appropriately. :)

I wasn't trying to rip anybody off. It was just a deal that went sour on behalf of me. I didn't even know that thread exsisted.

Oh the fuel pump isn't that bad, my hatch is completely gutted it only has seats and a dash. I think the fuel pump in the least of my noise problems. but thanks for the insight

yeah, i hear they aren't bad when you're driving, but that at idle you almost want to reach over and rip it out after awhile.

As long as your fuel pressure regulator is fine, I don't see any issues.

So far so good, I have an AEM one on order, so I'll be throwing that on once it arrives.
