Well its been a faithful friend for almost 18 years but I think its time to part ways.
My 89 LXi Coupe 5sp with 242k is getting a little needy for my free time.
Any tips on best way to sell it and what I should ask for it?
Any member interested in picking it up let me know I'd just as soon sell it to someone who will appreciate it.
Thanks,
Paul

Sorry I live in Hillsboro,
I was looking to get about 1500 for it.
Everything pretty much still works on it, even the AC.

I know some of you might think I'm asking a bit more than some of you have paid for yours but they were most likely not in a good of shape as mine.
Here are a few pictures of it and the tires were brand new this winter.

well yeah the whole car might be in good shape and look in excellent condition but still the high mileage is still its downfall. i just sold my car which only has 88,000 miles on it and i only got $1000 when i asked $1500 for it. blue book said it should've been around $1655. but since my car was a CARB that was its downfall. but yeah anyways that is a VERY nice looking LX-i. i would most deff buy it for at least $700-800. but i cant buy another car till i get back in 6 months. =[

whats that fish badge on the back mean? i've seen it on so many accords =/ oh and cool, it has a arm rest, lol

Around here that car could get $1600-1800 pretty easily, but I'm not sure what the market is like in Oregon. My LXi sedan with 225k, steel wheels, oxidized paint, and marginal A/C went for $1700.

lol, usually means christian.

and armrest ftw. capitalize on that and market it as a rarity to justify whatever price you're asking.

all it needs is a coupe spoiler and it would be a lil bad ass car....i wish i could find a coupe that clean they seam more sporty but the sedans have more of a sleeper status since they are lil fam cars.

Interesting that the car was purchased at the dealership where a fellow 3gee member currently is employed. I've bought several parts from Duval Honda myself.

Thanks for the complements from all of you. I looks like Alex may get it this weekend and get legit on the forum again.
Yes I am a Christian and good guess that I'm a "swimmer" slang for Baptist.
I did buy it from Duval in Jacksonville back in November of 89. Nice folks got a smokin deal on it. Glad I got the 89 instead of holding out for the new 90 model. 90s were real POS for a lot of issues. Nevermind how ugly the were IMHO.
Yes it still has the original paint.
I look foreward to what Alex will do with it if he buys it.
Then I have to decide what I'm going to replace it with.....
7G or 8G maybe CRV?
Checked out the new 8G in Dallas. Very nice love the room and low beltline like the 3G had.

Yup! Can't wait.

Thanks paul!

step 1: BIG ricer wing
step 2: neons.

hahhahha. I could never do that, don't worry. It will stay stock and get me to work and back. Vigor rear sway bar and a cd player are the only mods I'll end up doing (famous last words).

Don't worry Paul I will make sure it sees some good mods and if Alex tries to put TSW's on it I will kill him. :)

Alex you stopped my heart for second with ricer wing comment. Thank God you were kidding.
A monochrome paintjob and those LXi Sedan stock alloys I haven't put on it yet would look very good. Kind of like the 1G Integra Special Edition.

Paul

hahaha.

No, I will keep it looking the same. I *would* like to throw some struts and springs under it, and maybe some fat 5's or ls webs, but I will more than likely leave it stock and perfect.

I seriously can't wait. I'm very very excited :)

It would look so badass and handle so well with some good suspension. How can you pass that up?

86AccordLxi
09-27-2007, 08:24 AM
Because I need to not spend money on it.

The 240 is already expensive enough.

Hhahaha. I started tell my gf this morning that I had a line on some struts....she turns to me (with big eyes):

gf: I thought you were going to leave it alone
me: it's just a couple things lol
gf: uhhuh

.....silence....

Hahhahah. She's hilarious, and knows I can't/won't leave it alone :P
