HVAC problems

My HVAC controls won't switch from vent to hi/lo, heat/defrost, heat, or defrost. It's stuck on vent. What the hell is going on ? Any help/suggestions to remedy the problem is appreciated.

keep pushing all the other buttons, one may be in a bind hanging up the rest.
If it continures you may need a new (or good used) button cluster doodad

Not sure if the 3geez work the same way, but a couple of my vacuum solenoids are broken. They're those little pod thingies that open and close the doors in the HVAC system. The plastic gets old on the arms and they get brittle and will snap. Look up under your dash and see if they all move when you push the different buttons...

Check for a blown fuse in the under the dash fuse panel. I think fuse #5 (10 A) labeled rear window defrost feeds the HVAC control panel.

I think you're right mac, Reason being is that my rear defrost doesn't work.
