usually when i type long messages, i copy all the text i put in my message before clicking the post button, so if the site craps out or something, i can just click back & paste & try again, saves having to type it all out again :) idk it's just a habbit

When I search "OBD I Conversion" I get this message:

The search term you specified (I) is under the minimum word length (2) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.

If I remove the "I", or for a majority of my searches, I get this:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

You have reached this error because:
a) Search did not find any instances of the terms you requested,
Or..
b) Your terms do not meet the minimum word length. If searching for only one word, it must contain at least 4 letters.

If I'm searching 2 words, I'll get no results. When I add a third, they will show. There's something seriously wrong here...

What good is searching if you can't include words under 4 letters?

That works... The point is that the search feature sucks.

lol same here i simply dont trust forum software (i blame php.. asp never does it)

obviously the person that wrote the forum code thought he wood make it fast and not take his time by making it search for every little letter in a word and then found out when u search for something like 1 it shows every thread with a 1 anywhere in it so he was like k ill make a minimum length

i saw somewhere a google search for the site. maybe the admin should use that. good allways finds me what im after and i find the forums search doesnt either, thats probably why you guys all stress at newbies for asking questions cause they search and either get wrong results or no results or errors like i do and give up and ask anyway

i hate the search function, i can type in the exact name of a thread, word for word, and it says no results found,i have to go back and manually search for it. :gun:

It's all on here, I've seen it... just a question of finding it again. I should've done some bookmarking...

Its not on here the threads say that they have done it with no how to, and then the threads get off in random tangents about rywire, and other companies.

never really had that problem, as for four letters. search the word F*CK and see what you get..:wtf: j/k

When I am looking for something I do advance search and put the word search for the thread title not inside a thread.
I did see a prety good write up on the covnversion on here one time, and there was mention of making it a sticky.

Board problems: A bunch of them with W98... since the forum upgrade I just quit using that computer, still had problems even after doing the W98 updates somebody provided links so a few weeks ago. I couldnt tell anything was updated really, I DL it and it went to file somewhere, I have no idea.
Otherwise I have been getting this curser flashing thing on the the text box when I am writing a post. It will just flash and everything I type is just another cursor flashing.. w i e r d
I did notice that when that happens, gif are still trying to load in lagging random order, not the same any time it loads either.. what is the deal
