Looks good Geddy. But would paint the pop-ups black to match. And yes a couple coats of wax should make it look better! So was that a straight trade?

the carbon fiber hoods are good but they tend to fade real fast. the gel that the company uses are crap...plus i would hate to sand down a brand new hood and get it re cleared. but other than that it looks alright. you got a nice black/tan scheme going on.

looks good. i'd like one but my hood is a functional resting spot. so i'd probably forget not to sit on it and crack it. or some girl would do it for me. lol.

I Agree, I had my first car done there, a 1985 Cadillac Seville

They did a horrible job, Didn't mask it right, and I had paint peeling a year later, This was the $600 paint job mind you.

Also I don't think they would know WTF to do with CF

I wouldn't go Macco. $200 seems a bit to much, go ask some good paint and body shops around your area.

You are looking at over 100 dollors in material alone to do that hood right.
Trust me, I worked at a Corvette shop and have stripped, primed, blocked, and repeat 2-3,, many many times. There are some great products out now that speed up that process some, two part primers that build fast, all the same it is a learned skill to get it slick and true with no splotches or divots.
If you are wanting that hood refinished the right way, learn to do it yourself, trade it out, or expect to pay ... sorry, professional opinion.
If it were mine.. I would trade it or sell it out to a full race who didnt care about the looks so much as the weight.

Ps I think you did good on the trade because the hood is more rare find than the strut bar which could be made from another car.

wax wont do anything for it

rubbing compound and a high speed buffer will work wonders :thumbs up:

id also suggest getting it re-cleared, you're supposed to get CF parts clear coated before install to protect the gel coat, but most dont do it.
