Black them out. I would say get a dx or lx whatver it is or hatch pure black grill. I got one, and it looks much better to black out the front imo.

Keep them the stock color, painting them satin black just puts to much black on the front end. Keeping it stock gives a contrast or color.

yeah keep it stock. looks much better IMO

where did the hood come from, looks like fiberglass in the light angle of the pictures, I assume it is CF

There are a bunch of places here that do the vinyl wraps, they can wrap the whole car infact.. but they do a good business doing golf carts (which two major brands are made right here in Augusta) gun stocks, and such with variuous types of camo.. but they do CF too.. I think it would look good to do the headlight covers and the extensions in the same CF vinyl wrap. To make it worth the while I would see what all I could take off on the car to wrap..
I did not vote since I dont condiser vinyl wraps a "sticker"
edit.. Oh and I would leave them body color if nothing else, looks better than blacked out to me.

hey whats wrong with those girls

I am going to look into the local folks about the price and availability of those materials.
I just had some vinyl letters done that are black but when you shine light on it at night they turn gold. It is just black reflective but it looks cool at night.
This vinyl, for decal lettering and such is pitch black until you shine light on it..
Ok FYI this is not the same as vinyl wrap process though but it could be applied to parts.

how well does the carbon fiber sticker material match up to the real thing? i know my store sells that, but i havent compared them side by side. if you could get someone to wrap the lids in carbon fiber that would be cool, and get the hood reclearcoated at the same time. so i guess my preferance would be either keep them stock or wrap them in carbon fiber or use the sticker material.

i may be a bit late but i like to see the grill and eyelids part seperate.. so i recon if your gunna have the eyelids and grill black like they are i suggest leaving it how it is with the light panels brown. if your gunna paint the lights black i think it wud look better with a non black 88-89 grill and eyelids

the front gets rock chips....so black it is.....but it looks good tan. IMO...just leave it unless you have lots of chips and some flat black will make them disappear

speaking of chips, does anyone know a good place to pick up touch-up paint locally?

(shipping is ridiculous from online)

uhhh..... nuh

the process they use actually makes it a coating, even though the material is an applique style as in it is in sheets before they start.

But can't you heat it up and peel it off? It's NOT paint, and you don't apply vinyl to bare metal, primer or bondo. It's printed out of a printer (plotter). It's just a sticker with a different adhesion method if you ask me...

i'm sorry, but carbon fiber 'wrapping' as you call it...that shit is rice. straight up F&F, VTAKK, all that BS.

if it's not MADE from CF, you're wasting your time and money, and just adding weight.

personally i like the contrast, but i can't really talk cause i'm getting ready to paint mine black like i did to my old sedan. i have a stock hood though, so i guess there's my contrast...
