Hey All...

I thought I'd share on e of my favorite things about these Accords!

I'm a Tim Horton's fan and I really love My large double double while I'm driving.

For all the non Canadian members Tim Horton's a Coffee shop franchise here.

Anyway I love the built in Cup holder:

The space is so perfect that you have to slide the top part of the cup in first and then push the bottom of the cup into the armrest... the result is a securely locked in Large Double Double!

Anyway.. a bit of a useless post.. but I think it's cool :-)

That's what everyone says until I rip around a corner and it stays put.

Trust me I drive hard and it never falls.

Sometimes it will spill a little but that's only when it's full :-)

it's wedged between the armrest and the top of the door panel which is padded and sticks out a bit

maybe hatches had different style doors?

Totally off topic but I just noticed your lock/unlock switch is horizontal. Mine is vertical. I never knew they made 2 different switches.

Yeah I just noticed that after a trip to the junkyard. It's just that the 86-87 are rare here with power options.

Yeah I just picked up this 86 and it's got everything (Ex-i) pwr win, pwr locks, cruise, pwr mirrors and sunroof to name a few... I used to my old DX :-)

anyone ever try retro-fitting a lower door panel with a pre-formed cupholder indentation in it? you see them on new cars now, somebody has to be making/selling aftermarket versions to fit older cars I would think.....so your drink would fit in that map/catch all slot area at the bottom of the door?

Just pick up a set of SE-i cup holders they swap right in if your in real need of a cup holder, molding an entire door panel seems a bit much to hold a drink
