Preferred Grease for Front End Bushings?

What is the preferred grease to use when packing front-end bushings. Silcone-based? Or just the regular black stuff in a grease gun(won't that attack the new rubber)?

Honda specifies silicon grease.

Any time you are applying grease to rubber or rubber componds use silcon grease.

I just replaced the bushings in my upper control arms and used whatever was in the gun. So far after maybe 3 weeks they are still ok. :)
Methinks I should probably check and see what that stuff was. Fortunately it was an easy job so if they disintegrate in a year it won't be a big deal to fix.

I think the main thing is just to use a grease that is rubber safe, which typically means non-petroleum based. Silicone is definitely safe.

Just use any silicone based stuff.

Oh and although it is a technical question (and im not being a picky prick, im just letting you know) a more appropriate location for this thread would probably be the suspension forum

you can use white grease too,it won't attack rubber or plastic
