This is an exhaust diameter comparison:
RIGHT: 1.75" that came from the flex pipe to the cat.
LEFT: 2.50" I welded this piece in place of the cat.

wow, looks loud. i would do that if, but in NJ... just no. you lucky fella. i bet you can really feel the difference.

yeah how much does that help? i am thinking about trying the same thing...

maybe if i put a muffler on my car it would help!! hehe

bigger isn't always better... if you don't plan on heavily modding the a20 then go for 2.25"... it's a minor step down, but you'll still gain enough flow over stock to nottice the difference.

I took pictuter of the entire welding process, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of me using the pipe cutter.
as soon as my friend transfers the pics from his digicam to a CD I can start posting them on my web site. :D

how does it sound? did u straight pipe all the way from the exaust manifold?

im straight piped all the way from the cat, im afraid to replace cat with straight pipe, wont i loose some low rpm power?

It won't be loud... my muffler always quites the exhuast down... even when I'm ripping it at 7,500 rpm my friends still tell me it's not loud... only if I fold down the rear seat and let it resonate on the inside of the car... then it gets louder then it does on the outside. :confused:

I think the crank bearings are worn out and i need a new trans... other than that i got all new oil coolant and spark plugs waiting to go... oh and that monster coil.... just a sec while I revive an old post.
