cool.
A little history on my car backround,
I come from a ford family, mostly old stuff. (u can see my 65 ranchero collecting dust next to my honda in the engine swap pics i posted)
The car as 235 on it, but the guy we got it from sunk alot of money into it, so besides the engine and trans, its basically all new.
The timing belt broke on my A20A3, so I had a friend help me put in a A18A long block. Then the mount arm broke on my speed sensor (I thought the cable broke when the speedo stopped working), allowing it ride too high, and leak tranny fluid all over the place, and then burning out the 5th gear.
So, now I have a jdm 5speed sitting in my garage, waiting for me to get clutch plate, release bearing, and pilot bushing, then I'ma put her in and I'll be going faster than 55 on the freeway again! (1 thru 4 still work fine).
I'm sure (with my chilton) I could get this done myself, but if anyone wants to help I'm down just to hang with another 3gee'er.
everyone thinks my car looks like shit (design)
and I laugh all the way to the gas station
ha ha ha

now I need to go check out the old Ford

the old ford:
1965 Ford Ranchero
302
alluminum intake (no, not the part that holds the air filter)
edelbrock 650cfm 4bbl carb w/ manual secondaries
headman headers into 3 inch dual exhaust
cougar 4 speed manual tranny w/ hurst shift linkage + filtran clutch
9 inch rear end geared 2.80:1 w/ old school tortion bars (bolt from axle to leaf spring, does not have rubber stop which pops up against chassy)
air shocks (rear)
shitty rims (at least they all match)

this is my first car. I parked it because it gets 10 gallons to the mile. Well, I may be exaggerating a little... 5 gallons
She still runs, all i need is a fresh battery and a can of gas... big can of gas

I've had the privilege of having some really knowledgeable old school hot rod mechanic mentors (I've always been to cheap to pay someone to work on my shit). Every one has a story "For my first car I had a (insert $$$$$$ car here) I got new for less than a thousand bucks, and I sold it for (usually less than $100) and I've regretted it ever since." And that is why she sits. I get at least 3 offers a year, and I turn 'em down every time.
*sigh* I can actually get parts for old fords way easier than my accord.
One day. she will get some new paint.

ha, it almost feels unnatural looking at an efi a18a. but either way, your car is clean. sounds like you have grand plans for it. (who doesn't, lol?) hit me up if you want those rear discs...
