I posted awhile back about my '89 LXi that tagged a rock (big one) and broke motor mount, power steering cooling loop etc. Well, I've since discovered the frame is bent in one spot and broken in another, bent rear control arm, stove in gas tank etc.
Anyhow, I just picked up an '87 that is same color and everything, and in better shape body wise. Came from Texas a couple years back. I think parts will swap around mostly. I've noticed that the front bumper is different and the console between seats is different.
The '87 seems to have more balls than the '89. Anybody know if that's an emmisions thing or am I imagining it? They're both stock as far as I know.
I'm wicked psyched 'cause I was way bummed that the '89 was trashed!!
Also, can anybody tell me what the lever under the steering wheel with the arrow on it is? I suspect it's a tilt control but can't figure out how to make it work.
I'm thinkin' I'm gonna rape my '89 for parts. May have some to sell if anybody needs something. I'm not sure yet but will post once I decide what to do.
