sending unit

hey guys i changed my gas tank today cause it was leaking.took pump and sending unit out of old tank and put them inthe other tank.well tanks back in and it runs but my gas guage says empty . any help would be appreciated.

you forgot to put new petrol in it?. nah ..its the same sensor that came out of it right? If its plugged in it should work. otherwise you may have damaged it somehow.
