Greetings everyone!

I'm new to 3geez, just recently signed up. I was actually wondering if you guys would like to help me with something...

I'm a moderator over at www.hondashowoff.com. We're a fairly small and laid-back Honda enthusiast site; we have both a showoff section where you can create a profile for your car and post pics and mod info, and also a forum.

Anyways, I'm trying to put together a very thorough and comprehensive list of Honda engines with specifications to be posted up in the tech info part of our forum. Now here's where you guys can help...

For each engine series, I'm hoping to get some good pictures to use as examples . I'm hoping to get pics of both stock-looking motors and modified motors. 3geez is really the only place on the web that I've been able to find any decent photos of A-series engines.

So basically what I'm asking is, would any of you be willing to post up some decent engine pics or direct me to pics already posted on the web site and give me permission to use them?

Like I said, I'm looking for pics of both stock and modified engines. Also, since the A-series is one of the few carb'd Honda motors that are still relatively common on the streets, I'd definitely like to get some pics of both carb'd and FI motors.

I'd certainly be willing to personally credit anyone who donates pics or to just credit 3geez in general as my source for the pictures once I finally get the list finished and posted up.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Hey those look great guys, thanks a lot!

Keep in mind that I'm looking for pictures to use as examples so someone will be able to see what a typical A-Series engine looks like. So even if your engine is mildly modded or not even modded at all, your pictures will work just fine.

Everything you guys have posted so far should work great! Thanks again!

I don't know if you still want any more pics, but if you do, here you go - my very dirty stock '89 A20A3.

Don't forget the E-series motors. :) That will be a fun mess of engines to keep a comprehensive list of.

Thanks for the pic redaztec!

And yeah, I'm not sure yet exactly how far I'm going to go back with this engine list. As of now I hadn't planned on doing the E-Series (except maybe for mentioning that the A-Series and E-Series are very similar and have some parts compatibility) but we'll see. It's really hard to come up with any decent and reliable info on pre-1985 engines.

I'll probably get all the engine series that are commonly tuned (a-series, b, d, f/h, k, etc.) and then update later if I happen to find any info on some of the more obscure older motors.

By the way, I really like the looks of your car 2ndGenGuy! My parents bought a 2nd-gen Accord back when I was really young. That was our first Honda. It's been nothing but Honda for them or me ever since! :)

Thanks man! It's the same car that got me addicted to Hondas too. Now I've got 4. :)

Yeah, the E-series motors go all the way back to 1973 with the first Civic. The last of the E-series, the ES and ET were mildly swappable with the A-series. The EW's were found in Civics and CRX's and were actually more related to the modern-day D-series than the original E-series motors. Everything before the ES/ET and EW were all a completely different generation of E-series. They were found in the Civic, Prelude and the Accord. It becomes a big mess of tiny revisions, with non-interchangeable parts between even motors with the same engine codes. So, I don't blame you for staying safe, and away from the E-series. You'll have tons of research. BUT it would really whoop ass. :)
