I TOLD you that you needed to replace those muffler bearings before they failed.

It could be worse.
A number of years ago I had just left work driving my old 1968 ford F250 pickup and crossed some train tracks and a block or so later ran over a muffler laying in the road that I did not notice before hitting it.

I remember saying out loud (no one else in the pickup cab) what idiot left a muffler in the road.....

A few blocks latter.....

Why is this pickup making so much noise.....

Stop look under pickup and find that I was dragging the front of my tail pipe on the road.....

Ok, wire the tail pipe up and proceed home all the way grumbling about the stupid idiot who left the muffler on the road that I obviously caught my exhaust on.....

Go to auto parts store in the Honda to by a new tail pipe......

Remove remains of old tail pipe....

Start to install new tail pipe.....

Only then realize.....

Oh crap!!!! Yup, that was stupid!

Get in Honda and go retrieve old muffler laying on the side of the road where I ran over it....

Go to auto parts store again and buy new muffler.

Humbly install new muffler and tail pipe on Ford pickup.....

Must have been really long day at work!

oh hell yeah, that would be chevrolet part number 00015A if you can't find a pepsi machine.

I dont have a muffler at all back there, just used a pipe to a resonator tip, very small..
When I first got the accord I was riding along and all of the sudden the whole car just jumped up in the back and it got real loud.. looked in the rearview and there was something in the road. A POS honda muffler.

roodoo2 straight pipin' it! Hardcore!!

Funny my muffler began rusting off in the same spot. I ripped it the rest of the way off and left it that way for a couple weeks while I drove around with the noisy and backfiring. It was fun and loud, but it was killing me. Had to get a new system built...

How loud is yours roodoo?

we have a civic with a straight small stock pipe and fuck it sounds gay. like a fat woman farting continuously. but it has no tip and the stock 1.something inch pipe right through with only a cat.

im glad we have a welder now. new exhausts ftw

cah,did the original clamp break,or the aftermarket custom coat hanger hanger break? if you want a proper custom coat hanger, you have to get the special muffler stainless steel version racing hanger. the only place to find these are at the proper redneck garages. you can usually identify these by the chewing tobacco sign, bigger then the building, outside. they will normally have a non functional rusted lift, and someone selling boiled peanuts and maters(tomatos). for around twenty bucks, they will install one of the special for mentioned racing coat hangers, the good shops will even throw in a free budweiser can/bailing wire patch. make sure they offer at least a five mile/twenty minute warranty. and buy some peanuts,it makes their day. :)

I have wired up header mufflers on camaros and pickups more times than I want to mention.. lol
they dont make coat hangars like they used to, they are like pot metal almost now, they pop and snap, used to be able to weld wtih them..not anymore.... lol

I have a buddy who is on his third car and none of them had mufflers...
first MK1(?) '87 MR2..rusted holes in pipes
second '89 F-150 We decided to cut open his muffler remove the baffling and weld it back together...we got the baffling out, but welding was another story (this was a few years ago)...Oh well ended up with a cherry bomb that was Highheat tapped on until it fell off.
'83 280zx...Muffler was in the trunk to start...I welded it on with some remnace from his truck, and coat hanger...he took it to get inspected...bought it back, and ripped it back off lol.

Dark Accords set up looks like something we would have done to my buddies car for a quick fix...and would left it until if fell of like so also...haha

did you fix it?why not get a 4 inch wide piece of drain pipe, drill a hole in the rear bumper and run it straight back from the converter. like the batmobile. put some screws through an old tire screw it on,then run the pipe in the middle of it. http://www.pistonheads.com/pics/news/14066/batmobile-replica-t.jpg
