Vibration @ idle - 89 Exi

Can anyone help me with this, its an 89 accord exi automatic the car seems to vibrate on idle

sounds like a bad engine mount

It only happens when it's in gear and im on the brakes, if I throw the car in neutral the vibration goes away

When in neutral the car revs higher and engine doesn't receive load. When in gear it receives load so it shakes a little.

yeah check your motor mounts and also what is the idle?

sounds like a low ideal thing
when on the brakes it draws alot of power and cause the ideal to drop and then u get a shake

Had same issue after 5 years of trying to locate. I decided to install a new distributor. I had a cracked vacuum advance that I had epoxy repaired, so I'm thinking it was a vacuum leak. Smooth as silk now. New distributor under $150 on eBay.
