my cars a 88, and usually the rear has 5 brake lights (2 outters, 2 boot, and a high stop) well since my car was in a crash, i boguht another trunk, off a 86-87, so the car it was on only had 3 brake lights (2 outters & a high stop) so it had no brake lights in the boot, well now my 88 has onmly 3 brake lights too cause of having the older boot on it, and now i get the brake lamp light on in the dash, cause it thinks theres a missing light... how would i fix this?

oh, i also got the older tail lights to match, i thought this would fix the problem cause of its broken circuit sensor thingy, but it didnt

LOL. those boxes in the brake lights that control that light seem to fuck out lots too. maybe they are duds aswell.

if you still have the iner harnes plug it up and let it dangle. if that fixes your problem (wich it should since it has a load on it agian) then mayby you can make a nice custom center tail light so the VIGOR lights up kinda like how thay due it on preludes, fixes the problem and adds a cool light lol

Unless you get the right trunk for the ECM to read, you need to pull the light out of the cluster. Cause the wiring harness trick to fool the light is not worth it, unless you need another light somewhere.

you have perfect reason 2 now lol but just plug in the old tails harnes and try that it should make the code go away, then you can modify that harness for however you wish

Yeah the Boot lights in the facelift model are 2057's (Dual Filament) where in the 85-86 They Should be the Wedge Style 194 Bulbs (Single Filament)

damn oh well, i suppose i should just leave a couple lights in the trunk dangling lol
