- all my interior COMPLETELY is gone except my dash.
- that means no lights, no speakers no headliner, nothing is left except 2 seats, 2 seatbelts, an ecu, and a dash. :)
- removed most wiring harnesses that are not necessary (door harnesses etc)
- swapped to manual mirror (and blank)
- swapped to manual crank windows
- removed CC, PS, AC, and hideous bracket that holds them on the engine
- removed blackbox
- removed distributor
- swapped stock exhaust manifold for lighter DC Sports header
- removed radiator fans and radiator (will replace with civic half wide radiator)
- removed engine wiring harness (only keeping the alt wiring and oil/water dummy gauges - which all go into the same plug w00t)
- will be building new bumper support from angle iron to replace the stock one.
- planning on possibly replacing glass with polycarbonate windows for my hatch back, and rear windows. (need to weigh this stuff + the hardware to see if it will really be worth it)
- removed car alarm
- removed complete ignition system (to be replaced with standalone)
- removed upper timing cover (who needs it lol)

anything that is not explicitly necessary in my engine bay has been pulled too.

I'm sure there is a lot more that is missing. The car is getting slowly down to the bare essentials. :)

I got you all beat, I dont even have a dash, seats, windshield, engine, doors, hood, headlights, or wheels, and anything else that's attached to the car other than the suspension and gas tank LOL.

I do, however, still have my cruise control, and CV Shafts!!

It's fast!! If you count the speed at which the earth rotates........ right now it's drifting, since it's parked in a North/South direction..... ;)

you could push that across the finish line or.. tow it

......u cdnt even tow that across the finish line (no wheels)

if you've done all this u can still take a dremmel and go around and cut in out unnecessary pieces. like old old pieces that held bolt holes for unused stuff in the interior but it's much work little gains. but it'd keep u busy!

Umm... there's a guy on poolude power, he removed all the panels from his 2g poolude, the whole interior, all the doors, trunk, bumpers, etc. I think when he was done, it weighed 1900lbs. Plus it's got a B16 in it... This is the same lude that was in all the Johnny ricer videos

i did weight reduction on my race car 2g prelude
most heavy bits were cast iron exhaust manifold and cat
a/c and bracket
headlights except covers
interior including sound deadening
electric mirrors (replaced with almost weightless fiat uno ones sacrelige i know)
as for girlfriend...what girlfriend simple equation (being proud of a 1980s honda = no girlfriend

anything not needed on motor gone battery in boot
sparco racing wheels are very light

exhaust was a major weight saver whole system went from 43kg to 8 including headers and muffler also fucking load and crisp

car has gone from 1140kg to under 900kg with driver
for a conparison a mini in the mini race series here (full race cars) weigh 1350kg
prob did a whole lot of other stuff but cant remember

removed: rear seats
carpet
door panels
headliner
everything in trunk
a/c and all components
p/s and all components
c/c
black box (cuz its soo heavy)
sound deadener stuff
all interior plastic trim pieces
header (saves weight and add power, love it!)
inner fender trim
both radiator fans
upper and lower timing belt cover
all the plastic 'gaurds' or whatever under the engine/bumper
cut a big hole in the roof (sunroof)
all the metal vacuum lines under the hood that are bolted on
glovebox (i dont wear gloves)
pretty much, the only things in my car are the front 2 seats, seatbelts, dash, and center console thing by the shifter(cuz it doesnt weigh much and its mainly just cosmetic)
