i actually put my gauges on without removing the needles the speedo was the hardest lol i was worried about braking then so i jut cut a small slit in the gauge and slid it over

Oh. I just popped the needles off witha butter knife on either side of the needle and I pried them straight up and off that way. It's just tricky the get the heat one back on. It's funny though because when my dad got in my car the other day he looked at the engine temp and went "holy shit is that right?" I had a good laugh at that.

I'm going to paint my needles with uv paint and put uv led's in place of the front lighting.

he actually gave me some led's with the gauges, so that I could do it myself. the only thing I don't have is uv's. I'll probably buy some from him this spring when we have another meet.

there's no front lighting so it's not as easy to see them as it used to be. It's not that bad. I'd just prefer if they were white uv glowy.

well. you can leave the bulbs for the front lighting in, but it kinda defeats the purpose of having indiglows.

If you do the blacklight with the uv paint just be careful. Try to use the lightest paint possible. Like hobby store type stuff. If you spray the paint on the needles too thick it will weigh them down.

Here a couple of pics of my pcp gauges with the painted needles and blacklight.

those are nice. Thanks for the tip. I was just going to use the same paint that BITESIZE used on the uv gauges that he made. I'm pretty sure that it's brush applied. I never even thought that it might weigh them down though.
