1st of, you need to post in right section of the board.
2nd, since you live in CA, you are limited to CA certified parts. They are very little or not parts for carb engine. There are no exhaust that are CA legal, i am not sure if pacessetter header and cat are legal in that state.

I live in MD, and we have almost if not = emission laws around here. The only way i can get way with modining 3G accord if i title it as a classic car. It has to be 20 years old.
No emission test on the car if i drive less than 3000K miles a year.

So to answer to all your questions would be: do some searching, and follow the law unless you want to fight emission tickets and never pass emission test.

well normaly there would be plenty you could do to get some extra horses out of the car, but like everyone else is saying cali has some strict emitions laws, your gona have to search around a little bit on what you can do, i think K&N drop in filter should work since you cant make a modded intake, and i know pacesetter headers and MSD 2 coils are Carb legal but thats about all i know of, good luck and welcome to 3geez

nice car. weight reduction = go fast! lighter rims but being that pampered of a car i'd bet everything still works and looks good so i don't know what else. get some pics of the engine bay! to be on the safe side change the timing belt it's about that time on the miles, but 18 years can do a lot to a belt. AND:welcome:

hopefully you meant $1400? otherwise, sorry to break it to you, but that broker probably took a broker fee of close to or over 100% of the value. :Owned: anyway, don't let that get you too down. nice to see another ca 3g member on the map. yes, the pacesetter headers are legal in ca--they have a carb eo sticker. the cat, i'm not so sure about. but i don't think it's very likely for them to check that. intakes are pretty much all illegal unless you manage to get an aem sticker and tack weld it on an ebay pipe--still illegal, but most cops won't know that. exhaust is legal, as long as it doesn't increase noise above stock. good thing they tested all the cars brand new from the factory, right? :) so as long as it's not above 93 db, you might get bothered sometimes if it's ricey/loud/big/obnoxious, but it's not illegal. you can do a weber conversion or individual carbs. good luck passing smog with that. you might be able to tune them to pass, though, and find someone who will overlook the bs and do a real smog test and just test what comes out the tailpipe. and since it's carb, you're more likely to get away with it if you get stopped than someone who has efi since most cops aren't state smog refs too. anyway, :welcome: and enjoy your stay!
