Guys,

I've been wanting to ask this question but never had the chance to take the time and do so.

Ok, just wanted to know how to start up our cars faster?

Sometimes my ride starts quick and sometimes it doesn't

WHY?!

It's tuned up and everything. Could it be the battery not fully charged. BTW, I do have a good battery.

Thanks!!!

you need to refilll the float bowl on the carb... it also helps the push the gas a few times.

You need to turn the ignition key to the second position then turn it off. this will run the fuel pump... do it 3 or 4 times.

i would press the gas before cranking and when igntion lights are on i leave it for 3 sec so the fuel reaches the carb and then crank it !

I usually give it one pump to release the choke when it's sat for a while. That usually does the job for me.

if u wanna start up ur car like real qiuck. hot wire it to a push button starter. u would be happy pressing that thing over and over getting a kick out of it.

When I had the old Kiehn carburetor, and I had problems starting I did one of three things:

1) Pump the gas once and turn the key

2) turn the key to the "ON" position a couple of times (say 4-5 times)

And if none of the above worked:

3) As suggested in my Honda manual- Hold the gas down half way and turn the key to the "ON" position. This worked every time I tried it.

With the carburetor I have now, I have only used 1 and 2 so far.

with my friends civic, we had to pump the gas twice, wait a second or 2.. then fire the sucker up. That did the trick so far every time. It starts up just as quick as my EFI
