lxi sway bar question

ok i got a front sway bar off of a 87 lxi for my 88 lx, but it looks almost like the one already one my car, it could be different i havent takin the one on my car off yet to exchange them, please dont tell me the 86-87 lxis had the same front sway bars as the 88-89 lxs. that will suck

also what is the benifit of putting lxi sway bars on my lx?

Might be 1/16" thicker at best , more likely it's 1/32" bigger (maybe the same). You can check it yourself. Take a cresent wrench and tighten it's jaw's down on the lx bar, measure the distance of the jaw's. Do the same on the LXI bar. The real deal for you would be to get a LXI rear bar.
