electrical question

hey does anybody know the color code of the washer motor wire on the harness plug? my book is kind of vague and it shows the wire for the rear washer,and the front washer, both having green with black stripe. if i'm correct it's the smallest plug on the three plugs coming from the combo switch? it only has one green with black,and when i unplug it, the washer doesn't work. i was going to cut it at the harness plug,and splice in a pig tail going to my new washer motor. i can't splice it at the fuse panel because it plugs in. just looking for the correct one.

Just looked in the shop manual, and the wire for the front and rear washer switch is green/black. Maybe someone else can be greater help.

well i guess since my rear washer doesn't work anyway, if i cut the wrong one it won't matter. if the wires were more accessable plugged in i could just test it with a meter. with all my wiring in the way,theres no way that will work. I just need a hot wire on washer so i can tie it into the tank,then it all works. the tank is filled and hooked up to the nozzle.

all right got it,cut the green with black,now the washer doesn't run. i have a green with black and a green with dashed black. i'm assuming the dashed one is the rear. i ran a pig tail from that wire in the harness,so i'll tie it up into the harness later and run it to the tank. I have a heavy harness in which is power feed from various fuses, then the other two plugs are power out to different circuits.

the book is wrong, it's the smallest plug, the green with the non dashed black stripe is power into the switch for the washers. the output to the pump on the same plug is black with a yellow stripe. the book shows all green with a black stripe for all the wires. still not sure which is the output to the rear washer motor.

My diagram is confusing but may be some help:

Rear Washer motor - Grn/Blk on pos side
Rear Wiper motor - Lt-Grn/Blk in on position
Rear wiper motor-off position
Ground- Blk
Fuse #3- feed Grn
Trunk Hatch on Hatchback- switch is Grn/Blk
Defogger feed is also Grn

Time delay for intermid wipers, looks like it feeds rear too if activated- that one is Blk/Yel - out
inputs are Grn and then Blu/wht
