I got the bose head unit, amp and front speakers. My question is what is a shield wire and where do you hook it up ? There's 3 wires coming from the amp for the rear speakers. a green wire, which is negative, a orange wire which is positive and a black wire which is shield. what is shield, where do you hook it up ? When I pulled the system from the sei at the j/y the rear speakers were already pulled.

I basically need to know how to wire the bose shit up in an lxi.

Anyone know, or know where to get a wiring diagram/schematics
for the bose amplifier in 1989 honda accord sei ? I just need to know what wire is what on the amp.

I have the stuff at home I can check for you, but really you are wasting your time. The wiring for the bose stereo is pretty nutty, and will require a lot of wire... And for what? even new bose stuff isn't very good, let alone 18year old bose stuff. I have had 2 se-i's and in both the amps have taken a crap... IMO, its definately not worth the effort.

yeah now even a 150 buck deck will outperform the bose system. plus then you will have outputs for subs and stuff like that.

No highs, no lows, it must be Bose! ;)

Thanks for the help/info. I think I will just put in an aftermarket deck later.
I was just wanting to hook up the bose system for shits and giggles to see how it sounds. I'm actually looking at the pioneer dehp9600mp head unit.
