Hey guys I noticed my temp. guage inside the car stopped working. I know its not the sensor, is there any springs or something in the back?

if you are sure it is not the sensor, how about the thermostat, could be stuck open.

That test is for the gauges, to test the sensor. Run the engine to operating temperature at 190 degrees & see if you have continuity to ground with a Digital Volt Meter set on ohms reading. Go from there.

Well Then you might need a new Guage
Playing with them tends to break them
