Biggest stereo in a 3gee ever!

This is the biggest I've ever seen. Built into the car, holds six 12 inch subs, two 6x9s and four 6's behind the seats. Not quite finished yet obviously, but one hell of an ambitious project. Sorry about the pics, I didn't expect to see this car today, so I only had my shitty RAZR phone that is shitty. BTW, RAZRs suck.

I was helping my buddy move his Rabbit pickup, and he moved it to this guy's house who has the Accord in his garage. He told me there was a Honda in the garage, and I was surprised to see a 3gee when I went in there. Never seen it driving around town, I know that I would have remembered that car! :wave:

ya theres like 3 dif subs in there lol and there is nothing wrong with the sony p5's they actually sound really good with the right setup

Back in the day (94-95) I use to have 2 12' and 2 10" Kicker Comps in the hatch with about 800 watts. It was a nice tuned sealed box and use to hit all those inaudible bass notes from all the old bass cd's back then. :x

There's nothing wrong with the components in that system IMO. I've heard some NICE stereos built from cheaper, not-as-powerful parts. It's all in the proper setup and matching of proper components. Not how many watts or speakers you have. IMO.

window tint is ricey but aviously he don't care he will not be able to sit in the sob cause it will be to loud personaly thats a waste of a good honda why couldn't he do that to some heavy american sack of shit but thats just my opion and sony explods suck should have done fosgate

He'd better have an extra battery setup there's not a chance the car will actually power that, if those boxes are sealed anyway. is it individual boxes or are they just suspended there? Sealed box, extra battery, isolator, 2gauge cables FTW!
I'd be concerned about the back hatch with that many subs pushing against it....

Id have to agree with that statement 100%. Ive made plenty of cheap componen systems pound and sound nice. Back when I was really into car audio, guys used to bring me all their cheap components so I could build em custom sub inclosures as well as set up and wire the whole system. Even with the cheapest amps there is always crossovers/indipendent gain etc. If there was nothing built into the amps capicitors and simple fade base treble adjustments would make a world of diference to the people who didnt care and just wanted to turn it up 100%. Of course I've always told people that depending on the components and the way its setup anything past 70-85% of volume is just distortion.

I know you can make a decent system with cheap components, but if he did spend a little extra money on matching subs and what not im sure he could push a lot more out of that box. BTW you guys should go to http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/ for audio equipment, thats where I go for all my equipment, can get damn good components at nearly half cost of brand new :cheers:

me and my mate made something simular to that in the backof his mazda hatchback. cept we made a new parcel tray out of plywood and put fuckloads of speakers in there and powered them off a load of random amps. Sounded okay in the end but yeah.

im not a fan of sony explode. either that or the people over here that set them up for shit. i remember one... she opened her boot cranked it up, i heard front speaskers blasting sub was moving but all i cud hear was air moving and no bass. and that was a setup frm some car riceing shop in town lol.

Custom FTW. Thats why this guy might get good bass when he tunes it

i have limited funds but i scammed some cheap but workable parts for mine, single 12. custom ported box build to the subs specs tuned to 35hz and a big fuck off amplifier that puts out twice as much power as the sub can handle, i can make things shake....

but im kind of over having a loud stereo i never have it up[ in the car anymore i guess i getting old. Ill be sure to enter the next sound off tho to see if i can pwn some other people in the same class as me

i will have to dig up my old pics but back when i was in school for autobody and paint, there was a guy who took a crx and used a fuck load of wood, fiberglass, and bondo and somehow got a box in there with 22 8 inch subs and 10 5 inch componets. it was fucking stupid loud. i honestly couldnt beleive all that shit worked. he also had the thing on hyro's. it was one hell of a gangsta hondamobile.
