random cooling fan issue, my car is posessed !

Ok, So I haven't driven my 89 lxi in a couple days. I'm outside in the driveway and the cooling fan just starts running ! It has done this twice now in the past week. It just randomly desides to start running long after the car has been driven. There are no problems with the car or cooling system other than this random cooling fan thing. What the hell is going on with my car ? Is it posessed ?

I cant answer that question as my car aint USDM. but id rather my car was possessed than reposessed.

try changing you relay it might get hung open

It's so weird. It's not like it's running when I park the car and just stays running. It will start running long after the car has been driven. My car was manufactured in japan, Not ohio !

its not a problem my car does it every once and a while it was made as a cooling mechanisim. when you drive your car and then take the key out and leave and it kicks on its cooling the engine it will eventually turn off ....plus check your radiator fluid because i looked at mine and it was low i filled it and the fans havent come on since

my fans would stay running...but i bypassed the switch because it was not working....yes i know cuz its a 30 buck part...i should buy one.

Up to 20 minutes, not 2 days ! The cooling system is in perfect condition,
Brand new radiator as of 2 months ago along with a thorough flush of the entire cooling system and filled with frsh 50/50 blend of antifreeze.
