like a year ago, they changed the spark plugs and those wires, nothing else, how much and often should you get a tune up

you sir, sound like you need a carb tuned. you also most likely have a bad engine mount, the 1,000 idel really isnt that to high off mayby bump it down some, and it should go away. i would look into geting your fuel filters changed aswell, remember theres 2 of them. after tuneing the carb and replaceing the fuel filters check the gas milage agian and go from there. new plugs again never hurt, check your cap and rotor and replace if needed (there cheep) and mayby check your coil output and replace if needed

one is under the hood, just follow the big red fuel line from the carb to the firewall and ull see it. the other is behind the rear drivers side wheel.

when i bought my filters they cost like less than 20 bucks for both of them....the only thing is that i had to take off my rear wheel to get to it. on a scale of 1-5 i would say they are a 1...you will also notice a nice throttle responce

Primary filter, the one under the hood is the secondary.
