ok well my dad had a 1988 accord lx that he put out in my uncles pasture 5 or 6 years ago, i would like to revive it just to have a fun little beater. The mice have gotten to this long before i have and have chewed up nearly all of the vacuum lines and a lot of the wiring, i was looking at doign the vacuum removal and now my question is, what would i need to do to just get it to run? to simply turn over and the tire will move and everything, as far as wiring up the ignition and stuff, i do not care about the cruise control or power steering or anyhting like that i am simply looking to do the vacuum removal and get this baby running. This might be a dumb question that no one can answer, but i though that i would just throw it out there!

Thanks in advance!

The search button is your friend. There's already a how-to on this in the how-to section.

well if it gets fuel, has spark, timing all set & good compression on all 4 cylinders, it should run

I am sure the timing belt is rotted away, so replace it along with the tensioner.

You only need a few vacuum lines to if any to get the car running.

yeah it does not turn over, so should i start by doing the vacuum removal, and then check the wiring from the ignition to the starter? I have replaced the spark plug wires already. I just kinda would like a good place to start looking :) If i went out and pulled off the carb and brought it home, could i do all the vacuum removal in my own garage?

went and pulled off the carb and brought it home, but as i was literally pulling it off, i got a call from my friend asking if he could buy my tranny, so i figured i will just sell him the whole car for about 300 or so and then still do the vacuum removal on the carb, and possibly sell that later.
