my new car!
i was on my way to pick it up yesterday and the trans to my 88LXi droped =( but when i called to see how much it would cost to get towed home he said he would tow it free since its on the way from the 87DX
the 87DX has a replaced engine from japan and a new trans and the carb is rebuilt but it wont start
we tested the spark and the fuel so thats not the problem
it has some rear end damage but i allready fixed the body all i have to do is bolt a trunk lid on it

Damn, nice man. You will have to keep us updated when you get it running, sounds good so far unless you find out its a serious reason that the engine wont start. And as they have said, stay away from any and all spray paint!

lol yeah its rust free but the car was Macco'd so the paint is all pealing and the door panal vinyl is coming off from the heat (desert cars for ya)
but yeah the jy has a boot that color but i might thow the white one on just to go around town with out water getting in the trunk untel i can afford to get the gold boot
once i get a new boot i plan to take the car to get repainted the same OEM and get the interior redone

If you're going to junk the old car, keep the EFI parts, you might need when the carb "don't work right" lol.
Or swap the parts from the old car, power windows, locks etc
Civic Accord Honda
12-28-2007, 09:34 PM
i dislike power windows more like hate them with a passion and my power locks are scerwy lol and the efi parts needs a new TB and i plan to jhust get a rebuilt carb and if i ever move somewhere where there is no smog webber FTWlol

did not get to test the compression today :(
both of my cars have dead batterys
idk how the lxi one went dead =/ its brand new
probly the revers switch in the trany is stuck on...
cah if your going to do the head gasket make sure to get a torque rench and read the section on taking the head off a cuple times... so youdon't warp your car o and make sure to have a carbord cut out to place the bolts threw holes in the order they came off the block....
anyhow cah listen to everyone and you should do fine... i hope this new 3gee is a step in the right direction for you. good luck with yer clean 3gee shame about the rear though... btw get zink oxide primer on the area in the rear were the pain has come off...
