yesterday my car was shot with paint balls (the main target :crying:) and it was mostly yellow.. today i washed most of the paint off (it was pretty oily), but now theres some stains left over.. how can i clean these off without damaging the paint? i dont wanna scrub it too hard in case i destroy the paint, but these stains are ugly, looks like the car was crying or bleeding :( :help:

they are water based... but still do havoc on car paint..

if you tired car soap... you might have to use dish soap.. this will take ANYTHIGN OFF includeing all wax.... so if it comes down to dish soap you will want to give it a few new coats of wax right after.... but use that as a last resort... and you should be able to scrub a bit with regualr auto soap... just be sure to use a nice soft sponge or cloth

Over here we have different waxes, one that cleans your paint. It is a little rougher than other waxes, it cleans up my paint really well.

its taken me since my last post till now, to clean my bonnet back to 98% mint, well now theres a whole car left to clean now, which was even worse than the bonnet :ugh2:

and that was dish washing soap i used

edit: after the bonnet has now dried, i still see a few marks left, so id say its about 80% mint :(

Use a basic bug and tar remover, if it removes tar and dried up bugs is should clean up paint balls pretty easily.

nah, female sisters, think its funny to piss off their younger brother and attempt to ruin his car just cause its the oldest one here :violin:

also heard about brake fluid killing paint, i put some on another car and it didnt even hurt the paint, or clean the mess on there lol. but sure aint risking it on my grey one :)

if left on, brake fluid will eat straight to the metal , and balogna leaves polka dots (not that ive ever done that to anyone...)
hope you can get it lookin good tho.

Pics?

Anyway, after washing it out with dish washing soap, try polishing out the paint and put a coat of wax on it.

A few years ago my son shot some paint balls up in the air, and they came down on my bright white Volvo. He washed them off and forgot about it. The next day I looked at the car and said WTF? By then, no soap worked, but I did get the stains out with a fine rubbing compound, like a clear coat polish, but a little more abrasive. The Volvo did not have a clear coat however, it was just enamel. So I don't know if that would help you. You do have a stain though, no soap is going to reach it.

female sisters huh, I have some of those... were both lucky I guess, some guys have those male sisters ya know bub, quite humble but aye they probably wouldn't be shooting balls at your CAR. :bowrofl:

brake fluid lifts paint, unless the paint is super epoxy or some extremley hard attermarket paint. The thinner it is the less likely it will penetrate though, and brake cleaner eats plastic, I've seen it even shatter lexan and plexigals if it gets near dirll holes or open places. There are different formulations of it so, you can't say a blanket statement it does the same thing all the time. fyi
