So about a year or so ago I bought an ac pump from one of our fellow 3geez members here. I asked him to send the brackets and all but all I got was the ac and hoses instead. Its a TR-70 or whatever was demed came with the b20a engines overseas. Ive got 2 b20a engines with mounts from ac but I get the same result on both engines.

3 of the 4 holes line up. the hole that doesnt line up is the top rear hole. I also need spec on the bolts so I can order them through tacoma screw company. If someone has pics both of the ac brackets with no pump installed to see if mine look the same and pics with everything installed would be great. Thanks again. Im trying to get back into the swing of things here. its been like a year since Ive even looked at the engine. Mike

Hmmm, I have 2 different B20A compressors here. I could compare the mounting brackets for you.

what model are your compressors jean. If you could do that and see how fitment is that would be great. I wonder if the diffferent compressors mount the same or not? different hoses?

Hmm, I know that the hoses are different for sure

One is from a Prelude Goldtop and the other is from a blacktop.

I'll check that asap

Gay, oh well no AC for me then. I guess tomorrow ill rip it out. what a shame to see a charged aircon die.

no harm done in seeing if it fits, unless you injure yourself

Ive tried that myself. The closest I came was a drilled and modified b18c ac pump and bracket. It almost bolted up but none of the belts lined up either.

ok so 3 of 4 bolts lines up and it looks real nice sitting on the engine. The ac clears the turbo completely. Ive got a good 1/2 inch at the closest parts. The belt grooves lines up on the second crank pulley slot.

The hoses I was sent are cut and are just the aluminum attatchment pieces. The rear hoses looks like if I can take it to a shop and put my stock hose on the fitting itll work sweet. The front hose however pionts the wrong damn direction and hits the ps pump bracket. Anyone know why this could be. JDM engine/ brackets pump all from the same engine (mostly). Is the engine bay layed out different on rhd cars to the point the hose routing is backwards? Ill see about posting pics of everything when i get my garage all cleaned up. Its a mess and i dont need the criticism. Thanks Mike

The evaporator is on the left sind in RHD cars. That's why the hoses are routed differently

Sorry to bump an old thread but i'm working on my A/C because the Australian heat is just too much to deal without it in my poolude and I wanted to see if you guys ever came up with a solution to the A/C compressor issues?

I haven't taken mine off yet as i recently only got my lude on the road (and because the compressor has grease all over it) but i will assume, that after sitting for 3 years without a closed system and full of dirt that my compressor is cactus. Did anyone figure out if a compressor from a A20 (or any other engine for that matter) will fit with a changed pulley?

Thanks
Zaahir
