Transmission or clutch?

So i was going down the road and all of a sudden... nothing... car was running great but no gear would do anything. Can rev it up in any of the gears and you don't hear any kind of grinding or anything. So i don't know if my transmission just went out or my clutch.

Could be either the clutch or one of the axles popped out.

if an axle popped you'd hear it.
try putting it in gear with out the engine running and see if you can push the car
or if you can let the clutch out without moving when running would suggest the clutch is fried
an axle popping out would make a hell of a noise if yu were moving i'd think

does the speedo show anything when in gear? Hmm, its most likely an axle...

he says he cant hear any sounds.
if it were an axle popped out or broken would expect a bit of noise.
did the clutch slip at all before it stopped?

i can be in any gear and my car aint movin lol, when i put it in gear though the speedo does move. i'm dropping the tranny today; so i'll give word on what happend in there. and it's not the cv lol got towed with a tow bar behind a truck and had to steer all the way home.

same thing happened to me its the clutch mine fell apart the ribbets came out the clutch
