My car took a long time to warm up since the last owner of the car thought its a great idea to take out the thermostat.

Since I'm going to flush my coolant I thought it would be a great idea to reinstall one, only I never done this before and don't want to screw up something lol.

Anyway, what else I need to know in order to do this other than undoing the two bolts, put the new thermostat in and reinstall the housing? Is there a gasket or anything that I need to replace?

There was just a basic paper style gasket for the thermostat cover.
The original Genuine Honda Thermostats also had a rubber gasket moulded around their outer edge to properly seal against the thermostat housing, though last time I bought one from the dealer I was told the original part number had been superceeded for one that did not include this !

Be carefull not to over tighten the thermostat cover bolts too, they tend to breakoff rather easily
-especially the lower one if things have rusted/corroded through the use of water rather than coolant.
