What Brand/Kind of 6x9's would you recommend?

Also, I want to get, i guess theyre called, sub woofers, in the trunk, in the big enclosures. What do you recommend on those, and what size/kind of amp would i need?

it is all depends how much money you have.
if you are on the budget get something cheap, if you have no problem with money go nuts with alpine type R stuff.
for the subs, i would recomnet 2 x 12". i have one 12" and it sounds good but not grear. i am getting another one.
if you get like apline type S ( that is what i have) 300-500 watt amp would do nice on those.

Hey, i'm on a tight budget but i managed to put together a nice system for around $800CAN

yes it cannot take the punishment of some top end subs BUT it gets loud and deep enough to hurt me ears. Its all in how you set it up.

I am not gonna shit on Xplod!! Cause I happen to like Xplod Stuff!! I just don't like thier amps!! A bit cumbersome for me!! I like things to look neat!! Square X shaped amps Don't look kewl!! I think U can get a better amp for the same price... Give and take a few dollars!! Alpine, Fosgates, Jbl, are pretty good arps!!

How much have you got to spend. BEfore you ask for advice, you gotta indicate the budget you wanna keep too....
ALSO, what kind of music do you listen to?
Techno, R&B, rap? punk? whiteboy?
Cause the size of the sub/s depends onthese factors...

nice, no problem issue. i like that.
what do you have right now? i mean in a stereo.
anyway, i would say alpine subs are the best ones i heard so far.
this is what i have http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=SWS1241
i have the single one with 150W pushing them. i have headaches sometimes. this website has nice prices. they sell on ebay too.
about the amps, i would stay away from Pyle, Pyramid, Lanzar, and some brand name you never near about.
I would recomend to go with brands like Alpine, Hifonics, JBL, Rockford Fosgate.
head units, about the same theory. don't go with cheap brand. make sure it has at least 4V preouts and 4V sub preouts.
speakers, i think alpine, infinity, MB quarts (always overpriced), and many other brand names.
you just need to do a search. ask yourself a question, are you gonna run in competition or it is just for your own use.
i have everything alpine, type S speakers and type s sub with alpine amps. i love it.
you can always ask us about the products you find interesting.

uhhh.... I think the speakers, amp and stereo are all road gear.... 60W stereo. 70W(i think) speakers. The amp is a 2 channel 200(250?)W.......

Not tooooo bad...... not loud enough :p
