hi i have a 88 accord dx carb, and it runs fine at first 20 30 minutes. Then it gos to 1000 rpm normal idel speed. Around 1100 900rpms it starts bouncing and lights dimming then will go super low or kill out completely espically when i stop or turns it likes to kill out. It also just started a clicking noise by the passengers side engine bay when running
mostly stock has a sound system in it but i have it completely turned off,
new alt, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, newer complete fuel pump gas tank entire assembly, rebuilt engine, no cat, obx muffler,

Check the battery voltage car off and running. Also check the ground wire and Lead wire.I guess the clicking noise you'll have too find out exactly where it's coming from could be a exhaust leak somewhere.

well im thinking of replacing grounds to thicker ones and maybe power wires to, there shouldnlt be an exhaust leak it was welded with no cat and a obx muffler/can the guys at autozone tested the battery ect today they said it was fine =[

ok thanks for the help i just got some ground wire coming in and i'll see about testing it. I also found out that the butterfly vavle is sticking after i run it but when i pull on the throttle cable it pops loose so is this binding or sticking? I'm gonna try and lube the wire and wire pivots with motor oil as the book said.

You might want too consider capacitor so the headlights don't dim.

I was'nt aware that you put in a high amp alt. Then it's definatley the power cables and ground issues.
