ok am repainting the center console while it's out. i just put in the new switch for the power door locks,so i repainted the entire thing. i did the center section,i haven't repainted the armrest yet. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/lostforawhile/S4020221.jpg

new volume knob for the bass level, made from an antique sink knob, aka indian larry style.

since the screws on the sides of the armrest went only into plastic, i replaced the holes with rivnuts, now i can use machine screws for a solid mounting point.

I'm loving the bass knob and those switches. Very slick work. Nice hot-rod touches.

thanks. the alternator battery switch lets me turn on the stereo without the key or turn the amp for the bass off if i want to. the nav light switch is for the parking lights in the euro bumper lights and the boost pump switch is for the boost pump for the carb project

ok after a lot of work the center console is done, except for a small amount of upholstering left on the inside. i moved the hatch release button and gas door release button to the center console itself. i had to partition off the end of the console for the flush mount light and the buttons. thats all aluminum with upholstery over it. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/lostforawhile/S4020242-1.jpg
inside of the upright with the console turned upside down. i'm making up all the harnesses and using molex plugs whenever possible.
