Hmmmm new look, huh! Will check things out in a minute.

Looked at a '89 Prelude Si yesterday. Blown motor, rest in good condition and a stick.
I am looking for 'sames" and "differents" between the '89 Accord and '89 Prelude.
ie. same front fenders, deck lid, hood, different motor etc.

I still have my wrecked '89 Accord Coupe.

Any and ALL input will be appreciated

Thank you

It's a mostly different car. Some things will interchange, such as switches, sensors, and relays. Outside of that, there's not much that will swap over without mods.

almost nothing is the same except for small switches might be useable and bolts.... thats about it... oh and seats might be swapable

Umm wouldn't the motor with tranny from an Accord fit an 89 Prelude but not the other way around unless the Prelude had an A type motor.
I have seen the whole subframe from an Accord hatch put in a Prelude, with minor modification.
body parts, forget it though

If it's cheap take the whole prelude and have fun, you'll probably find some things that might fit right away and others that you'll have to take a little more time and effort to modify to fit.

nope, the 3rd gen arms fits without mods. The 2nd gen arms have to be modded to fit.

Thought so. :0 Even though from a short distance, even to up close they both look the same (both 2nd and 3rd gen arms) I noticed that while in the jy.

So how come no one ever talks about the 3rd gen ones working? all I ever hear about is the 2nd gen working, I've been here since 2004 and this is the first time I've heard about this :nervous: This is GREAT news :D

Both the second and third gen Prelude UCAs will swap. The 2nd gen arms have a lot more travel. That's why I pass up most 3rd gen arms when I see them. I still can't find a set of undamaged 2nd gen arms.

The through bolts need to be replaced with the Accord parts and a few washers need to be added to get the chassis bolts the correct distance apart.
