My windshield washer hose (now 20 years old) got brittle and finally snapped. I bought some replacement hose, but how do I replace the hose where it goes into the wheelwell and then emerges down by the windshield washer pump somewhere? Do I have to take the wheel off and try to get up into the wheelwell, or is there an easier way?

Thanks.

I may be mistaken, but you have to remove the fender.

yep you have to take off the drivers side fender, then take off the plastic cowl cover. once you take that off, you'll see where it runs up under the fender. it's a pretty easy fix.

OK, well I don't have even the first clue on how to remove the fender. Can anyone give me any tips?

Thanks.

You take the bolts out. Probably about 8+ of them.

Sorry to be so green, but I've never taken a fender off before. Where are these bolts? Are they on top under the hood, underneath the car, both? Like I said, sorry I'm such a newb. Thanks.

How about a coat hanger, some light oil, some electrical tape and a file ?
cut a coat hanger, file off the sharp edge, stick it in the old hose on one end, new hose on the other, tape the union and fish it through?

Well, that would assume that the hose isn't fastened down anywhere under the fender.

got a point there, but still it would fish it to where you could access it without removing the fender hopefully (if you just pushed the old one aside and run the new one)

if i remember correctly it makes some pretty sharp turns, and is fastened down in there. best to take the fender off. i left my old one in there because i built the tank in the car and no longer needed it.
