Hey guys ive been reading this forum for a while im just about to finish building custom fibreglass pods for 6 inch splits. They will be installed into the stock front locations.
If anyone else has done anything similar i would be interested to see photos, i will complete mine in the next few days so i'll post some when i can. Cheers

actually someone on here did some pretty elaborate ones a few years back, maybe older. I don't know if I saved the pics or if there are still hosted.

Ok not sure if mine will be as elaborate but i finally finished them last night and im pretty happy coz ive been driving around with 10 buck speakers for the last 2 years! There sealed at the back so im getting some pretty nice punchy midbass now with no door rattles :) Now ive crossed the sub over lower and its hitting a lot harder and cleaner. I went with black in the end because theres black in the stock interior colour theme and i thought grey would look a little dull and red would stand out too much. I'l try and upload some pics now let me no what you think.

Those look great !

Okay I went ahead and searched... looks like it wasn't for an accord after all it was just a link someone posted.

Still the guy did nice work on the dash and panels, although I remember seeing finished pics and don't see them any more.

Thanks, yeah ive been working on them for a while! If anyone would like some i made a mould of them so im able to make exact copies......at the right price! At the moment there only for 6 inch midbass drivers and not sure on the exact tweeter size i think its 2 inch max but i can check. If there is enough interest i can probably make them suitable for 6.5 inch mids. Anyway if anyone is interested let me know, il be away for the next 5 days but can reply after that

It looks good man! I'm not sure how you attached them though haha. You should post some pics of your car too, keep up the good work :D

They actually look pretty damn good, but if youre going through all that work, why not place the tweeters up in your a-pillars while you're at it?

Thanks for your comments guys. Il post some pics of how they are mounted in the next couple of days 87roach, basically its just two large bolts put through from inside the door frame and tightened to the pods before the woofers were in. Hashman, IMO opinion the tweeters always sound better when placed as close as posible to the midrange as this achieves more realistic imaging, as there will be far less time delay from the mids (especially on the drivers side). But one positive of the A pillar/dash is that if there is a passenger in the car there legs can sometimes block the path of the tweeter in the kick panel which throws everything out the window.
