Hey guys, I have searched around numerous times trying to figure out what distributor I have... I have the accord helms manual on my computer and it seems that my distributor is a combination of the two pictured in the manual :wtf: Soo I got a new vacuum advance diaphragm and it matches the one that was on there so I believe its correct. I put it on and now go to start the car but no start... it started once and idled extremley low so maybe the timing was advanced to far? But back to the original question here is a picture of the distributor I have: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/integratuner77/AccordDistributor001.jpg

I could get more pictures if it would help, but my advance diaphragm has two places for tubes and I have the cap that has all the plugs coming out in a vertical line.

Question 2: The car ran fine before with one of the advance diaphragm tubes not connected because the nipple was broken off, hence me replacing it. Now I cant get it to start and as a result cant really set the timing. Any suggestions?

Okay so judging by those I have a hitachi distributor... Now onto my next question.

I replaced the vacuum diaphragm but how do you line up the pick up/advance plate? I think this may be why its not starting. I pulled the spark plugs and they are white so I believe that the timing is too far advanced. I tried to retard the distributor as much as possible but it still did not start. Now that leads me to believe that maybe the advance plate is on wrong..
