Trunk looking good! I like the idea of the undercoat in there to ward off the moisture. Will be interesting if that stuff does any sound deadening on it's own.

Cheese definitely has lived up to his name. That's a lot of money to spend on cheeseburgers holy crap! We used to do that in high school during the McDonald's $0.29 hamburger and $0.39 cheeseburger deals. The had a 10 burger limit, so we'd send 5 or 6 cars through the drive through in one lunch break. :)

Nice only problem with that spray in stuff is I did my whole floorboard in it and under the rear seat/trunk etc, It comes off really easy.Even at 4 coats thick.

depends on prep work. ive dont it multiple times of my tow trucks. if you JUST spray it on it doesnt adhere well. if you use primer it sucks as well. the best bet it to score the surfuace clean it really well with soap and water let it dry and spray away.

After I chiseled all of mine out, I used 150-300 grit paper, then washed and alcohol prepped to remove fingerprints, then sprayed four coats.

how long did you let it dry before each coat? i really have never had any problems with it. the tow truck gets a lot of wear and its only chipped a few times in about 2 years. i have been using this paint for a while...which one did you use?

2 hours between each coat. Also I used the exact same stuff you had.

yup that will do it , or even prep-sol or acetone might help (acetone might make anything else thats left a bit gummy) personally for interior work like that i use Norton scuff pads they are really abrasive and they scuff really well, any paint will stick as mky allready knows, anything with paint prep work is the key

nice job mky , just make sure you let that stuff dry completely or it'll stay tacky for a long time

wonder how much weight comes off of the hatchies wehn the trunk area is done
