Ok, this lil issue is driving me nuts.

*The Car*
1987 Honda Accord LXi - Fuel Injected - Manual

*The Issue*
Brake Lights randomly work when peddle is pressed.

*Already Checked*
Fuses, Bulbs are ok, no warning lights, fluid level.

*Wild Guess*
Brake Light Switch (on the peddle), some relay I am unaware of?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a wiring issue, could be a faulty ground or a shorting wire(thats broken and when you bounce around it makes contact). You could try taking each of the tailights off and checking the wires.

Thanks for the suggestion.
The string of wires the runs down the left side (under the molding and carpet) are the correct ones I'm assuming. I wasn't planning on ripping the carpet up yet but it needs to be replaced anyways lol. Would there be a ground(s) in the rear with the light fixtures?

Sorry for noobish questions, electrical stuff just isn't my thing. Thanks in advance.

check the brake light switch (on the pedal). it might need to be adjusted. ive seen what your describing plenty of times when its right on the edge of needing adjustment.
